Not dead, but severely incapacitated

tarmachanSo some of you might have wondered where I've got to.
I'm doing my Palaeobiology Masters right now, and my god is it hard work. I barely have time to do anything other than attend lectures and sit at my desk writing essays. So of course I haven't had time to even read fics, let alone muster some extra brain power to write. I'm so exhausted trying to keep up with this course. But it shall all be worth it in the end I hope!
So please understand that I won't be contributing anything for the Harlequin challenge that I said I'd do. Sorry reikah, and everyone else. Nor will I be contributing anything for at least the next three months, if not longer. And I'm sorry but I don't even have time to read the wonderful things you guys are probably churning out right now like the beautiful writers you are!
So yeah, thought I'd just pop this up here because this is the first time I've finished my work early enough to warrant a semi-free evening.
I hope all of you are well, and your lives are less hectic than mine (^^)'

I really hope the course is going well for you and that you're feeling like you're keeping up with the material. It sounds like a lot of fun, even though it's such hard and draining work! Come back when you can, lovely, and don't ever feel pressured to contribute if you don't feel up to it. This community is here to be enjoyed, not to cause guilt!

on 2012-11-10 11:26 pm (UTC)It's going alright, not had many grades back yet, so not sure how I'm doing. Just finished the first teaching block. So much work. I keep reminding myself it's all about getting my foot in the door, and that hopefully I can get a PhD/job out of this next year... but it is interesting. I mean, I'm learning about fossils! I touched real dinosaur bones for the first time the other day!
